Autonet Mobile, a wireless Internet service provider for vehicles, has been named a finalist in two award categories by Telematics Update Magazine: Best Aftermarket Device and Industry Newcomer.
Produced by Telematics Update Magazine, the sixth annual Telematics Awards are designed to recognize and reflect the hard work, talent and potential in bringing to fruition real products and advances in telematics.
“Along with the many other innovative companies, we are honored to be a finalist and recognized for our efforts in bringing to market the first WiFi accessory for the car, said Sterling Pratz, CEO of Autonet Mobile.
“The Internet is the future of in-car entertainment and the car is just the beginning for Autonet Mobile. Our team is focused on continuing to deliver the next evolution of Internet for the car with even more cutting edge Internet services and products that will continue to provide greater value to the automotive consumer.
The company said Autonet Mobile turns the car into a WiFi hotspot providing seamless Internet connectivity while the car is in motion. The service is half the cost of a cell card and connects each passenger to the Internet so they can surf the web, email, make dinner reservations, view movie schedules, perform secure on-line banking, IM, chat or download on-line games right from the vehicle.
The Telematics Awards Presentation takes place during a Gala Dinner, May 20th during the Telematics Update Conference and Exhibition in Novi, Michigan. The Telematics Awards are judged by independent industry experts and open to companies in the automotive and mobile telematics eco-system that develop and provide compelling products,
services and content. |
